EU Health Summit – Postponed – New dates TBC

20 Mar 2020

In light of the latest developments of the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures recently taken by the European Commission, the 34 partners of the EU Health Coalition have decided to postpone the EU Health Summit to a later date.
As a coalition of healthcare stakeholders, we take our responsibility for preserving public health very seriously. The safety of citizens and the sustainability of healthcare systems are at the core of our activities.

The COVID-19 outbreak clearly shows that more actions are needed in prevention, preparedness, cross-border cooperation, health system responsiveness and resilience, as well as research and innovation in Europe. This crisis has also highlighted the importance of cooperation; indeed, we will not solve this epidemic, if we keep working in isolation. The need for all parties to take concrete actions is preeminent, and we will continue collaborating with other stakeholders and policymakers on shaping future health policies to improve the lives of European citizens.

The Health Coalition will come back shortly with the new date of the EU Health Summit, as well as the steps that will be taken to maintain this dialogue to improve health in Europe.
